The fine print
PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated: 11 July 2026
The short version
We collect as little as possible. The website uses Google Analytics, the contact form lands in our email, and the newsletter runs on Substack. We do not sell your data, and if you email us about it, a real person answers.
01
Who we are
Honeybell Games LTD is a one-person game studio in Birmingham, UK. When this policy says "we" or "us", it means that studio. This policy covers our website and our games (together, the "Services").
02
What we collect
Things you give us directly:
- Your name, email address, and message when you use the contact form. The form is delivered to our inbox by FormSubmit.
- Your email address if you join the newsletter, which runs on Substack.
- A username and password if one of our games has accounts, plus anything else you choose to share with us.
Things collected automatically:
- Basic website analytics through Google Analytics: which pages get visited, browser type, and a rough location based on IP address.
- Technical data from the games where needed to keep them working: crash reports, game progress, and device model or operating system.
03
What we do with it
We use this information to run the games and the website, fix bugs, answer your messages, see which games people actually play, and catch cheating or abuse.
We do not sell your data, and this website does not show ads.
04
Who else is involved
A few services help us run things, and each has its own privacy policy: Google Analytics (site statistics), Substack (newsletter), and FormSubmit (contact form delivery). If you got one of our games through Steam or Google Play, those platforms handle your purchase and account under their own policies.
05
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information from loss, theft, and unauthorised access. No online service can promise perfect security, and we will not pretend otherwise, but we keep what we store to a minimum.
06
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. If you want to use any of those rights, email us and we will sort it out.
07
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. For anything significant we will also say so on the site.
08
Contact
Email contacts@honeybellgames.com or use the contact page. A real person reads it, because there is only a real person here.
