MADE BY
HUMANS

A game is thousands of small decisions. We think a person should be making them.

THE SLOP IS RISING

Storefronts are filling up with games nobody made. Generated art over generated levels, shipped by the hundred to see what sticks.

Players can feel it. When a level is generated, nobody decided the spikes go exactly there. Nothing in it was ever about you.

Engines and compilers are tools. Generated content replaces the person deciding what the game is. That part is the game.

THE HONEYBELL GAMES PLEDGE

1

Every sprite and animation: drawn by a person. Us, or an artist we pay.

2

Every word: written by a person. Including the bad puns.

3

Every level: laid out by hand. The Tumble Tilt spikes are personal.

4

No generated voices, no generated music, no asset-flip slop.

5

If that ever changes, this page says so before any game ships.

Not always our humans

THE REVOLUTION WILL BE
HAND-DRAWN

Hand-made does not mean made in-house. The SUDS characters? Not ours. An artist drew them, we loved them, we built a game around them.

That is the model. Great human work gets featured, licensed, and paid for. Art, music, characters, sound. If you make it, show us. You are the revolution.

Mark it "Art & Music Submission" or "Business Partnership" on the form.

The SUDS characters

The SUDS crew. Drawn by human hands. Not our hands, and that is the point.

WHY BOTHER?

Generating would be faster easier. But you can tell our slimes were drawn by someone who thinks slimes are funny.

Taste is the product. Strip it out and what's left is content. The world has enough content.
