The short version
A handful of cookies keep the site working and Google Analytics tells us which pages people read. Nothing here follows you around the internet, and no data gets sold.

What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device so it can remember things, like whether you have visited before. Every site you use has them, and ours has very few.

The cookies we actually use
- Strictly necessary: the ones the site needs to function at all.
- Analytics: Google Analytics cookies (the ones starting with _ga) count visitors and show us which pages people read, so we know what to improve.
- Functionality: small preferences that help the site recognise you when you come back.
That is the whole list. No advertising cookies, no tracking you across the internet.

Turning them off
Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies whenever you like. The site will still work, though the analytics will miss you. For a general guide to managing cookies, see aboutcookies.org or allaboutcookies.org.

If we start using different cookies, this page and the date at the top will say so.
